Regional Athletic Meet, 2018

The Regional Athletic Meet, organized by Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan(KVS) Ernakulam Region was inaugurated by Smt Deepti Nair, Assistant Commissioner, KVS, RO Ernakulam at LNCPE, Kariavattom, Thiruvananthapuram on 5 April 2018.

More than 200 athletes and 50 officials from 28 Kendriya Vidyalayas of KVS Ernakulam Region have been participating in 70 events being held during 5 & 6 April. The meet is hosted by KV Pattom.

Shri S. Ajayakumar, Principal, KV Pattom presided over the inaugural ceremony. Shri Ghosh S, Principal, KV Pallipuram was present at the function. The inaugural session was followed by a presentation of cultural programmes by the students of KV Pattom.

Ignite your ideas at ATAL Tinkering Lab

Atal Tinkering Labs are dedicated works spaces where students (Class 6th to Class 12th) learn innovation skills and develop ideas that will go on to transform India. The labs are powered to acquaint students with state-of-the-art equipment such as 3D printers, robotics & electronics development tools, IoT & sensors etc.

The lab activities are designed to spur the spark of creativity, and go beyond regular curriculum and text book learning. The labs will let students explore skills of future such as design and computational thinking, adaptive learning and artificial intelligence.

The ATAL Tinkering Lab at Kendriya Vidyalaya Pattom is inviting applications from Class VI-XI students, studying in any school, for its 10 Day Summer Traning Programmes (2 Batches).

Batch I: 16-27 April 2018 (Seats 30 only)
Batch II: 2-11 May 2018 (Seats 30 only)

The joy of giving

As a part of the ‘Joy of Giving’ campaign, the Charity Club of Kendriya Vidyalaya, Pattom, contributed 100 kg rice to Sai Gramam, a charitable organisation which has adopted 40 financially backward families. C Karunakaran, assistant commissioner, Kendriya Vidyalaya Sanghatan (KVS), Ernakulam Region, handed over the packets of rice to representatives of Sai Gramam in the presence of Kendriya Vidyalaya principal Ajayakumar teachers and members of the club.

KV Pattom ‘Droped Everything And Read’

The students and staff members of Kendiya Vidyalaya Pattom have dropped everything and read under the “Drop Everything And Read” (D. E. A. R.) campaign organized by the Readers’Club, on 8th February 2018.

DEAR, the whole school mass reading programme was formally inaugurated in the school assembly by S. Ajayakumar, Principal. The event began with a bell, alerting everyone to leave aside everything what they are doing and start reading exclusively for the following 30 minutes. Text books and They were asked to drop all their routine work and dedicate the time for extra reading. They could read any book besides their textbooks. The Readers’ club volunteers distributed reading material also.

The DEAR campaign was conceived to instill reading habit among the students and staff members and make the whole school to dedicate sometime for reading, keeping everything aside, said, S. L. Faisal, Librarian and coordinator of the programme.

Inter-School Shuttle Tournament with Govt. H. S. Mannanthala

KV Pattom students participated in the Inter-school Shuttle Badminton Tournament between Govt. HS Mannanthala, organized in connection with the School Partnership Programme on 19th January 2018. KV Pattom Team (Vismaya (VII A), Parameswar (VII A), Arpit J. Nair (VIII B) and Meenakshi Kaimal (VI B)) won the Friendly Tournament.
