Report on the activities of the Charity Club

    With the aims of helping the poor and the needy people of our society including institutions like orphanages, home for the mentally challenged, adopted villages by Sri  Sathya Sai Seva Organization, Pattom unit, (through Village Integrated Project), we have started the functioning of the Charity Club in our Vidyalaya  during this Academic Year.  More than 125 students from Classes VI – XII have joined as members.  The aims and objectives of the club, and activities to be done etc. were announced in the Morning Assembly.  Students and staff members were asked to contribute a handful of rice to the charity box kept in the school towards the Annapoorneswari Project at least once in a month.

       So far three meetings were held in the Principal’s Chamber and and charted out       various programmes to be organized during this academic year.  Also we have decided to donate the contributions to the organizations mentioned above.




  1. Given more than 160 Kg. of rice donated by the staff and students to Sri Sathya Sai Seva Organisation, Pattom, Thiruvanathapuram, for the Village Integrated Project for distributing to the poor people in the adopted village.


  1. Given 30 kg. of rice and some snacks to the T.B. Patient’s Rehabilitation Centre, Pulayanarkotta, Thiruvananthapuram.  Four teachers and 34 students of the Charity Club visited the centre on 23.10.2008 and handed over the contributions to the Mother Superior.  She expressed her happiness and blessed out students.  She said the organization expects such contributions in future.




  1. Visited the Grama Jyothi Special School, Nalanchira, Thiruvananthapuram on 19.12.2008 and donated an amount of Rs.2000/- contributed by the staff students of the school towards the Charity box.
